What is Home Economics?

It is a track that enhances the skills and knowledge of a student which it is necessary for livelihood project at home.It will teach you a various of skills including baking,bartending and food and beverages,Taking this strand can lead you to National Certification which recognize by Technical Education and Skills Authority (TESDA).That means you can work after you graduated at senior high school.Which means it is an opportunity to grab at ease.

There are various of lessons that you will encounter in, however we will focus about Bread and Pastry Production which is baking that means the first semester. In this term you will know how to bake a various of bread and pastry (e.g soft-roll & cookies). But before that you need to know the various of equipment and tools that you need and of course the procedure.

Safer Food. Our Responsibilty

As an H.E student we advocate "food safety is a must."Food is one of our primary needs which means it provides the health requirements of a person in order to live.The Republic Act No.10611 or known as the food safety act of 2013 that aims to strenghten the food system regulatory in our country, so as a student who make and study about foods we should implement to our selves about the word "food safety first"thus the people who eat the food that we make will be at ease.

In our life time we get used to see a cruel and messy environment and sometimes if we buy to "karinderya or street vendors" we often see an unpleasant view which makes the food that they sell dirty or rather filled with bacteria that makes us upset same goes to a teacher who is dissapointed to the student who do not follow the food safety regulation.Therefore as a student who advocate "food safety is a must"we must be the role model in our community.By doing simple things likes sharing food safety instruction at social media will help us to limit or specifically cure the unpleasant environment that makes the food prone to bacteria which bad for our health.
